Performs a variety of repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance on buildings and facilities, as well as fixtures and equipment. Repairs or replaces defective equipment parts using hand and power tools, and reassembles equipment. Diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems and determines how to correct them, reviewing blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as needed. Inspects transmissions, motors, and belts; checks fluid levels; replaces filters; or performs other maintenance actions, following checklists. Inspects, operates, and tests machinery and equipment to diagnose machine failures.
Prepares activity and failure reports, including root cause analysis, actions taken, and proposed improvements based on the analysis previously performed.
• Engineering degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Electromechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5years of experience as a maintenance technician
• Experience in the HVAC industry with knowledge of coil manufacturing equipment for residential cooling systems (progressive presses, expanders, hairpin benders)
• Basic English, able to interpret equipment failures (desirable)
• Experience with industrial machinery, tools, and mechanisms
• Strong knowledge of electrical control, troubleshooting, and resolving
• Ability to interpret electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical diagrams
• Knowledge and experience with electric motors, variable frequency drives, and servomotors
• Use of logic and reasoning to identify the causes of equipment failures and propose solutions
• Availability to work weekends with days off during the week
• Leadership, self-direction, sense of urgency and ownership
• Experience with failure analysis tools and action closure
• Proficiency in Excel and SAP (desirable)
